As audience members of Talking the Talk, students listen to one teen’s personal experience. The current guest is Amy. Amy made some choices about her intimate relationship with her boyfriend. This episode explores those choices and the consequences that followed.
As the teen retells her story, students are given opportunities to participate in decision-making by choosing, from three options, the course of action they believe should be followed. After a choice is made, the action unfolds as if that were the choice the guest teen made. All choices are valid, so different students can explore the story down different paths or the same student can work through the situation more than one time to see how things go differently depending on choices made. This replayability enables group discussions of different outcomes. It also supports personal introspection and evaluation of the choices and outcomes.
